Jonathan Perez is a 28-year-old type designer and graphic designer, graduated of the DMA and the DSAA in typographic design at the École Estienne (Paris). He created in 2008 the award-winning type foundry typographies.fr, whose work has been exhibited in ten countries. He has been awarded at the Letter.2 competition of the Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI) and has received with Laurent Bourcellier the Type Directors Club Certificate of Excellence in Type Design of New York (TDC). His main typefaces include Copte Scripte, Cadence and Colvert Latin. In parallel with his work, he has given lectures on the history of writing and on typography at Les Silos (Chaumont), the Ifao (Cairo) or the Université Paris 8 (Saint-Denis). He has written or co-written articles for TypeCulture and Graphê. He has made many trips abroad, notably in India, Nepal and Egypt, where he has spent several months.

Laurent Bourcellier is 29 years old. He is gratuated in visual communication (Duperré, Paris) and in typographic design (Estienne, Paris). This has enabled him to work as a junior art director (Publicis Consultant, Paris), then as a type designer (Porchez Typofonderie, Sèvres). Thanks to these experiences, he build up a clientele in publishing, graphic and typographic fields [Saint-Gobain Glass, Veolia, Bouygues, Icade, Louis Vuitton, Ich&Kar]. In parallel to his activity, he has taught the graphic production (Strasbourg), he gives lessons on the history of writing (Chaumont) and gives workshops in Art Schools (Strasbourg, Besançon, Nantes, Chaumont). He regularly collaborate to the project typographies.fr for which he has notably made the Joos, and with Jonathan Perez the Copte Scripte. Both of these typefaces received the Type Directors Club Certificate of Excellence in Type Design of New York (TDC), the Copte Scripte has been awarded at the Letter.2 competition of the Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI).

 

Natalia Chuvatin (Tchoumakova) is an independent type and graphic designer. She studied graphic design in Moscow State University of Printing Arts. In 1999, she earned her diploma in typographic design from École Estienne in Paris. She won the contest for the "France Télévision 2000" logo. Among her creations is the Paris 1900 typeface for the Petit Palais museum in Paris. She created the cyrillic version of the Colvert Latin typeface of Jonathan Perez.

Kristyan Sarkis is a 26-year-old type and graphic designer born in Lebanon and based in the Netherlands. He received his BA in Graphic Design from Notre Dame University (Beirut) and later moved to the Netherlands to attend the Type and Media master course at the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. His thesis project Thuraya (published by Typotheque) was awarded a Certificate of Excellence in Type Design by the Type Directors Club, New York in 2011, and was selected as one of the winning entries in ATypI's Letter.2 competition. His collaboration with typographies.fr resulted in Colvert Arabic, an extensive study and an homage to the Naskh calligraphic style. He has written articles on Arabic Typography for Typotheque and has taught Arabic Type Design in Virginia Commonwealth University - Qatar. His primary motivation is his fascination with the endless forms of Arabic calligraphy.

Irene Vlachou is a typeface designer based in Athens, Greece. She is graduated from the graphic design program of Vakalo School of Art & Design in Athens and she holds an MA in Typeface Design from the University of Reading, UK. She has collaborated with various international type foundries and has worked as a Greek consultant on several projects with specialization in Greek.
